Cathaoirleach Cllr. John Campbell, in one of his last official functions will launch Donegal Bike Week today at the Public Service Centre, Donegal Town at 12.30pm.
The launch in association with Donegal Sports Partnership will be followed by a short lunchtime cycle from the PSC into town, around the Diamond and back to the PSC.
Cllr. Campbell will be joined by representatives of Donegal Sports Partnership, staff from Donegal County Council, local Cycling Clubs, An Garda Síochana, members of the Road Safety Working Group as well as children attending the local primary schools of Glebe Primary, Aodh Rua agus Nuala and Gael scoil naCeithre Maistrí who recently completed Level 1 Cycling Standard with Pedal Right.
Donegal Bike Week is about getting out on your bike and enjoying the many benefits of cycling including the physical exercise, social interaction and celebrating all that is good about leisure cycling.
